It depends on what college you wish to attend.
When you receive your score report, it tells you what your score ranks in comparison to everyone else. It shouldn't matter to you though where your score ranks (as long as it is good enough for you!). I believe they say, however, that a "decent" score would be one that is in at least the 50th percentile (meaning that 50 percent of students did better than you and 50 percent of students did worse then you - that would be right in the middle of all the scores).

The lowest I've heard of college-bound students getting is a 19, and they've improved on their scores through all the crap they've got out there to do just that. I, personally, got a 30 and 31, both taken my junior year (feb and june; no studying!). Most people I know got between 22 and 32; this one kid with whom I was in the high school marching band (he's now a senior) got a 36 taking it while a junior!

Same day as SAT? Ouch. I was gonna take the SAT, but ended up not doing so for multiple reasons: 1) I was only taking it for the National Merit Scholarship thing, and I found out a week or 2 before I had been named a commended student, which means you don't win anything more (semi or finalist); 2) I wasn't planning on going east or west coast; 3) we had a big band competition the day of the test (we performed @ around 1:30, and even taking at St. Louis University downtown wouldn't have made it much easier to finish around noonish and get to the Ed Jones dome on time). It's just as well. A friend of mine, though, got like a 1560! That's crazy.

I believe I got a 26 as well on my ACT (would have to dig up the score sheet to confirm though). I got a 18 when I was in 6th grade heh

I think it's possible, but ain't sure.... if it is, it ain't likely... and I know of only 1 or 2 that got in the teens, and they both were 19's. I would say if you're planning on going to college, then you'll probably surpass a 15. Most colleges require something in the mid-20s. So unless you're an imbecile (not insinuating that you may be), you should be alright.

Yeah most colleges ask for like a 24-26 i believe, it could be lower or higher depending on school. I had like a 22 or 23 in 7th grade. The key is to not stress. Anyway, sat and act in one day ouch. I have to take all of them (ACT, SAT, and 3 SAT 2s) for the college i wish to attend. somebody shoot me now

VERY importat note! colleges dont just look at your scores.
the lower your class rank is, the higher your test scores NEED to be
