My Old Friend

How easily we forget.

Oh I’m sorry…
Twas an honest mistake: Isolating you; leaving you behind
Well you cant blame me for the way you feel,
that’s not fair; A guilt trip I don’t have to take
tho I layed the cement for the pathway

No I will not call you to see if anything might be wrong with me
And when I am painfully lonely, I won’t call up to say “wanna hang”
Havent seen me for ages? Must be my fault for not showing up.
I mean…you are not your brother’s keeper, right?

How easily we set aside.

Just had to let you go
I mean I know you’re fragile, and I will still treat you kindly
But I am who I am and you are so different
I mean I don’t and shouldn’t have to spend time with everyone
Must change for me. Out with the old, in with the new.

All my circle of friends, sitting on your front porch
Enjoying the goodness of community, and ultimately, friendship
But its your front porch - You say you don’t set the rules for community,
Though all my friends are on your front porch, wondering why they haven’t seen me lately

Thanks sis. Twas immensely personal. its kinda odd cos it goes from one stanza of the actual person, to a stanza of my opinion. sorta hard to read this one.

I know it very Alternative Indeed Like Cold Play it was hard one from every stanza to opening up the deeper reflections of persons people place times and things it was done perfect and i liked it very much i found it real easy to read
