You're entitled to your opinion, but name-calling really isn't necessary. Grow up.

Creedfan2334, I agree with you. I haven't lost my dedication to the band, but I too paid $100 for two tickets, $100 for a hotel, $50 for a sitter, $25 for gas... It is still not the money though. I don't know Scott personally, but I couldn't even watch.
Thinking about what the others are saying, I'd like to just get over it. And I am almost there. I will like to build my own damn bridge for crying out loud. I really will get over it. Some of us it just takes longer. Time heals all blinding to the eyes' moments, I hope. Actually I was over it until that awesome apology of the unique concert came out. I don't want to be bashed here, I'll try harder to build and jump over (to the other side, not off). I promise.

What would piss you off most? If Scott canceled the Chicago show or if he went ahead with the show drunk? (Leave it aside that he shouldn't have downed a fifth of whiskey before going onstage).

Aimee, that is a very interesting question. It really brings new perspective to the matter. Although...If they had cancelled the show, no one would have really known why, and everyone would have given him a second chance. Seeing him perform out of typical concert mannerism for Creed, Chicago is a tough crowd. He may get booed off. Let's hope not. But I could see ex-fans (ahhmmm...Siren) going to the concert just to cause problems. Anyway, he may have been better off cancelling. Either way, it'd be a problem. I am happy to say, I'm given up the hard feelings. As long as I don't picture myself standing there seeing it, I'm good. I'm really looking forward to the video. That will be sooo great and helpful!!

Thanks to Crest Tattoo for making an effort.
And you are entitled to your opinion. Now for my opinion. Would it have been any better if he had shown up to work a little drunk? How about buzzed? You apparently have never gotten a little drunk, a little buzzed or snot-nosed, piss-eyed drunk. Or maybe you aren't human either. CAN WE PLEASE ALL STOP NOW????

I am a HUGE Creed fan, but I have to say that I would be pissed if they put on a pathetic performance after I had been looking forward to it, paying money for the tickets, traveling to the concert, waiting in line, etc... Especially if the performance sucked due to Scott being too drunk!! I have been to two Creed concerts in the past year & I have never been disappointed. Their concerts usually ROCK!!! I feel nothing but sympathy for the Chicago concert "goers". I would feel slighted as well. Like someone else said earlier, this is Scott's job. He should do it to the best of his ability. That means don't show-up too drunk to do your job!! I still love him, though!! I can't help it. I'm hooked for life.

I am new here as far as posting goes, but I have read all the posts on the Chicago show. And I want to first say that " I am truly sorry for the Chicago crowd". I saw Creed in New Orleans at the beginning of their tour and it was AWESOME! Want to see them again sooooo BAD! But, in defense of the Chicago fans I can understand their frustation. Especially, IF it was a first to finally see the "BEST ROCK BAND" ever. But, When I am A FAN of something I stand behind it. I am a BIG football fan. I live in Miss. and I am a MSU fan and believe me that is NOT easy especially the last 2 yrs. But, we buy season tickets to the games every year. Even tho, the football team's performance has NOT been that great lately. Does this make sense? or just to me ; ) sorry-seem to make sense in my head but now when I read it I don't know. I just have to believe that Scott will more than make it up to Chicago on the next tour. Chicago don't give up on them.

I'll bet ya $50 you wouldn't be saying that if they really did cancel the show - the only reason you can say that now is because you already witnessed the "crappy" show. If they really did cancel the show, you'd be on this board bitching about how they cancelled and that they might as well not return because they didn't give an explanation and therefor aren't caring for their Chicago fans.

all they would have had to say is "Scott is under the weather tonight, and unforuntaley Creed will not be able to perform tonight. We apoligize, but Creed will return to Chicago some day and hold another concert for all of you and your tickets will be good for that show."
does that really seem like it could have been THAT hard??? |

I for one am glad they didn't cancel the show. That would've been even worse (at least for me) since we drove 11 hours to get to Chicago. Think of how bad that would be--to drive all that way just to find out the concert had been cancelled. I would have been even more disappointed than I was....
