Sonic Youth, anyone?
Bought (respect these guys too much to rob them) couple of their albums latley (Dirty, Murray Street), and have to say that these gusy are great. They're somewhere between grunge, noise expetiments, punk and such. Brilliant band that's been around for 20+ years (so much for 'youth'), and is still growing.
"Dirty" is a must have.

Yeah, they have been around a while. I never bought any of their albums. I'll have to check one or two out.

Truly awesome band, opened for PJ on quite a few occasions.
