But let's be fair. Britney and N'Suck don't even count as music. They're 100% pure products of commercialization. Rap at least comes from somewhere, and existed as a culture before it existed as a product. Without MTV or radio or Pepsi commercials, Britney would cease to have ever existed, or would've been relegated to off-Broadway shows or the Dallas Cowboys' sidelines. |

Which is why I won't go see movies made of my favorite books.

Nor will I. Except for Jaws. I liked the book better, but the movie had its moments (and yes, I'm talking about the theme song). |

I'll give you that one. One of my favorite books is The Shipping News. I had my own vision of the characters and I couldn't bring myself to see the movie even though I love the story.

Oh, I remember the Shipping News. I never read the book, nor have I seen the movie, but I vaguely remember what it was supposed to be about. Who's it by? I'll check it out.

E. Annie Proulx...the cadence of the writing is a bit jarring at first, but once you get used to it, it's great. It's a gem. I believe it won a Pulitzer.

look at this..MTV plays the new slutty, whorey video by the princess of trashness Christina and they did not want to play Bullets by Creed..what is worst Christina acting like a whore promoting the wrong ideas of women or Creed saying, not in literial terms, "shoot a bullet through my head"....

You obviously have no grasp for the message in the song Bullets, as I believe that's what you're refering to. He is not saying shoot me, he's saying know the facts before you judge someone and criticize them. The whole meaning of the song is anti-prejudice.

MTV owns VH1, and you and me, and everything ever, because they're like so totally cool, and I really, really, really hope Carson plays Fly because Sugar Ray is like sooooo totally cute and that song reminds me of last summer.

LOL.
So MTV owns VH1? I wonder why none of the discrimination towards Creed that MTV dishes out doesn't come from VH1 as well? Or does it?
