When did my life pass me by
When did it all happen

(Standing in a sea of faces, I feel so lost
Everything seems so abstract and I don't know what to do or even feel
I felt my heart pumping for a brief second
I saw myself come to life, but I turned my back)

(Its so hard to watch it all bleed away into the sunset
As the colors blend into a soft silhouette of the past
Its so dark now and I cant escape what is destroying me
I see a light, it is so far off though that I cant grasp it
Can't I feel your face once more?
Then I could leave all my thoughts of you at the door
...on my way out
I'll throw everything else to the curb and close my eyes)

(So I'm depressed again because I'm without your touch
I can feel my chest giving way now
Comfort me until you see me begin to bleed
You see the shovel in the ground and the knife in my hand?
Bury me, complete me
When you see me shed a tear thats when you will know that I'm home
So much for wishful thinking
I'm not feeling very creative at the moment
And I don't think anyone cares)

We saw the death and life of one who lost it all in the blink of an eye
We saw the truth get corrupted and for that we chose to die
We felt the tragic events bury us underneath all our guilt and shame
We questioned the events at hand and pointed the blame

Just the poison in your system you could never throw away
The taste of something ugly through my own decay
Point your fingers at me if you want your justice
I was some how the enemy and the victim in all of this
I'll find a way to disclose all that led you to me
Hide behind my face of disgrace until I no longer see
Any of this mess that I got myself into
Ill find my own way to break through
...Me and you will fade off into the distance soon

I am of the faceless and the damned
Chose to lose it all with my broken upper hand

I'm pressing forward with every step unwalked
And its been days since I have even talked
I think I need to help myself come undone
fighting this losing battle thats already won
And I cant help, but want to choke up all this blood
Ever since I've been drowning in it like a flood
I get the feeling that you might not even care in I drown
Its pitiful how I take out the rope and tie it around
Me and you will fade into the distance soon

I like it. It gives a lot of thought about the world. Especially those lines that are quoted above. It shows how wicked, cruel, and difficult life can be. Especially the line, We saw the truth get corrupted and for that we chose to die. That line strikes me hard.
