creed sold 50 million records correct?(world wide) i went to wikipedias best selling artists list and to the part where it had "artists who have claimed to have sold 50 million records or more" i noticed bands like nirvana and pearl jam were there but not creed.

Re: wikipedia...

since Scott said "he was Creed", maybe they're not sure who should recieve the credit for the 50 million sold. CREED or Scott Stapp?

Re: wikipedia...

To the best of my knowledge, Creed has only sold probably 30-40 million worldwide(20-something million U.S.). I've never heard about them having sold 50 million, but I have heard estimates of somewhere between 30 and 40 million. Don't take my word for it, though, as I am not positive on this.

Re: wikipedia...

to the best of my knowledge, HC is about 12x platinum (12 mil) in the US, and MOP and Weathered are in the neighborhood of 6x. Greatest Hits isn't anywhere near that, so, in the US alone, that puts them under 30 million. Worldwide, I can't imagine them having sold 20+ million between Australia, Japan, UK, Germany, South America, etc....

Also, Wikipedia isn't a reliable source b/c anyone can edit it. I'm sure it's possible someone disliked Creed enough that they edited 'em from the list themselves, but I'm really not sure if they did sell 50 million total.

Re: wikipedia...

LOL, Stapp recently said 50 million+ (if I heard correctly) in that interview where he accused AB management of sabotage. Lies, lies, lies...

Re: wikipedia...

30 Millions that seem to be more realistic, but hey, this is already very, very much!! Creed only brang 3 album and a greatest album, so this is really quite a lot!
Look at this list http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...bums_%28USA%29
Best selling albums in the USA(I think of all time): Human Clay on 53
This is quite good!
