Magic Cookie Bars are pretty easy, it's all made in one 13x9 pan. It has a graham cracker bottom, then sweetened condensed milk, semi-sweet morsels, coconut, and chopped walnuts on top. Here's the recipe if anyone wants it: MAGIC COOKIE BARS 1/2 C. margarine or butter 1-1/2 C. graham cracker crumbs 1 - 14 oz. can Eagle sweetened condensed milk (NOT evaporated) 2 C. semi-sweet morsels 1-1/3 C. flaked coconut 1 C. chopped walnuts Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. (325 for glass pan). In 13x9 in. baking pan, melt marg. or butter in oven. Sprinkle crumbs over marg./butter; pour condensed milk evenly over crumbs. Top with remaining ingredients. Press down firmly. Bake 25 to 30 mins. or until lightly browned. Cool, then chill thoroughly if desired. Cut into bars, store loosely covered (plastic wrap) at room temp. Enjoy!!

this christmas im going to bake a apple pie,cherry pie,rum balls,and a
choclate rum cake and choclate covered strawberries. i made the choclate rum cake one year for are weekend parties my hubby has and a friends daughter who was 4 wanted a bite of her moms cake she gave her a small bite and a few minutes later she was laying on the swing with her toy telephone and was calling the dr. cause she said she was hot and had a fever.lol was the double butter rum sauce. oh and i cant forget this year on christmas eve im going to have are friends come over and where going to get an assembly line going to make chicken/pork tamales havent figured out which one to make this time there both good. so i hope the freezes we have been having doesnt kill the bannana trees cause i roll the tamale dough in them instead of corn husks then steam them, plus the leaves are free and the corn husks cost so much plus you have to soak them. the bannana leaves make the tamales more moist i think. have a happy holiday everyone.

Wow-you guys are like busy little home makers.
Sometimes I bake-sometimes I don't This year is a don't I think I'm just gonna bake myself this year.... Since I'm old enough to be Scotts mother--I guess it would be more proper if I baked him some muffins instead of staring at his muffins Charmin

Dang! I'm hungry!
This year I'm with Jen. Baking for myself is too much right now! But when I get up to my mommy's house, we're gonna make sugar cookies with icing, gingerbread cookies, chocolate no-bakes, Rice Krispie's treats, and chocolate chip cookies (of course!). Maybe I can talk her into making a cherry cheese cake too with graham cracker crust! Yuuu-mmmy! Teri- Those pear bars sound too good! Please send me the recipe. And velvet cake with butter frosting? I just had that the other day!

I knew I shouldn't have come to this thread!! Everything sounds sooo tasty!! Usually every year, my step-mom and I bake cookies, magic cookie bars and fudge, but she just finished up her schooling and has been too busy!! I always enjoy baking with her, cuz my mom doesn't do it anymore!! We might do it this weekend, if not, maybe I'll just have to do it myself...I got suckered into hosting xmas eve at my house this year, so I should probably make some goodies for my "loving" family!!

Wow, what a coincidence, Aimee. I haven't had in in quite a few years but it used to be an annual tradition. Maybe I'll have to find the recipe and make it for next week.
