some great ideas I would love to see Scott sing with Santana but its so cliched now as if its just another money grabbing exercise. The band minus Stapp playing with Scott Weiland or collabrating with Maynard would be really cool. The best suggestion though would be a song where Mark gets to duel with someone that would kick some serious butt. I hope in between this album and the next they do some side-projects not just writing and producing.

speaking of collaborations, i wonder if DSD would have been a bigger hit if Faith Hill had sung on the track

that is a good question and i've often wondered that myself. i've got no doubt that it would be a bigger hit if she was this song. it could have been on both albums potentially and opened Creed to a whole new market. Amie does a great job but was Hill too busy?

Yeah, I think Aimee has a very pretty voice.

I don't really care for Faith Hill that much I'm glad Scott had his sister help with DSD instead of her

going to back to Maynard what is his opinion of Creed are they friends or even acquaintences? I wouldn't think Tool's fanbase would be terribly fond of Creed but you never know. It would be fantastic to have a group with Maynard on lead vocals, Mark on lead guitar, Danny Carey on the drums and I guess use their bass player.
Perhaps get Eric Friedman from Submersed and Stapp can sing a song or two as lead vox, perhaps one as dual lead vocals and a couple of others as back-up vocals. Would be cool to see what two groups that make really such different music though both sought of metal in different ways would create.

I think Tremonti would hold his own but Carey v Philips no comparsion whatsoever. Maynard is good but I much prefer Stapp's vocals cause he does something different he just sings.

Yeah, the members of Tool are such talented players of their instruments (maybe except for Adam Jones, who is a better riff architect than a guitar player, imo) - but I really wasn't talking about 'killing' by instrumental skills. I meant Adam would kill all the member of Creed... ________ Free Drupal Themes ________ DIGITAL VAPORIZERS Last edited by tremonti.net : 04-06-2011 at 09:46 PM. |

I don't think so. Evanescence's style would not work with Creeds. Amy Lee and Scott Stapp doing a duet...hmmm, maybe. But the guitars would not work together, Mark likes to play in drop D tuning (or normal tuning) and occasionally Open D tuning. The lead guitarist for Evanescence plays all strings drop tuned 2 steps.
