Greatest Hits

Has anyone else noticed a lot of Greatest hits Cd's coming out lately? I bought the new STP one and new Chili Peppers one and they ROCK!!!! The new No Doubt one is also coming out this week and I love thier remake of "It's my life" and the rest of the cd looks good too. It seems like a lot of bands and solo artists all the sudden have released a ton of new Greatest hits Cd's, any other good ones out there? I have seen "The collection of Springsteen" looks good too.

ive noticed taht too, but im not getting most of them. i am, on the other hand, getting all the new Live DVDs that are coming out this season. So far i got the new linkin park dvd... cause its live in Texas! then im getting th new olp dvd, coldplay dvd, avril dvd, and whatever else might be coming out in my near future.

Yeah, I picked up STP's, but only because it had a DVD of three hours of concert footage. I'm with you, Mullet. Been picking up live DVDs all over...most recently Pearl Jam in NYC (Riot Act tour), Primus (new CD plus DVD of old shows) and RATM (Battle of Mexico City). I'm not usually big on greatest hits CDs, though I do have a couple (AIC and STP now)...I prefer the trip of an album, the story it might weave, the themes some of them have.

greatest hits are always coming out around Christmas time. Haven't got STP's yet but i'll get that, probably Springsteen and the RHCP.

I have "The Essential Bruce Springsteen" and of course don't need it except for the third disc. Actually thanks to boots I don't need that either, but I'm a completist. Also I have to support my main artist.

I also have his "Live in Barcelona" dvd. God, it's fantastic!
