I play some music-but always had trouble with guitar-I learned chords and tabs at one point and had some fairly nice equipment-but I haven't played in years (guitar-that is). I know there's been lots of equipment changes since I played-but I have a sort of simple question.

What is it about Mark that makes him sound so damn good? His sound is so full and so saturated (for lack of a better word). I've heard bands with two guitarists that don't sound as good as Mark-is it his technique, his equipment, a combination of both and I'm sure talent is a major contributor here.........

It's his Mesa Rectos and his PRS that does it.

It's his MESAs. He sounds bad ass with his LP, but he sounds "badder ass" with his Tremonti sig w/ his pickups.
And remember: MESA + PRS = TONE
If Mark came to my house and played my shitty rig, he wouldn't sound anywhere near his norm.

the Mesa stuff we talk about are his amps and cabinets for his dirty sound.

He uses dual rectifiers (and one triple rectifier i think) for heads on top of a few 4x12's, and two fender twin reverbs for his clean sound (i've heard he got rid of these, but i'm not certain)

He's got 2 triple rectos. 1 feeds 2 4x12 cabinets, the other feeds 2 2x15 cabinets. His cleans are his 2 Fender 65 twins.

You upload your music to guitar.com, I don't have the money for them, do you know of any place I can upload mine for free?
