Big Dismal

Question? Is it true that Scott Stapp produced this band? Seems like I read something about Stapp being connected to the band somehow. I really like Big Dismal. I didn't get their cd until about a month or so ago, like every song on the cd, that has NOT happen since the last creed cd. Their music has meaning, like that especially. I first discovered them on real videos, the video "Reality". The lead singer Eric sounds alot like Stapp. I mean that as a good thing. Has anyone seen them in concert? Would appreciate any info on this. Thanks alot. Tia

Hey Tia, I heard the same thing somewhere, but don't think it's true. If he was involved they'd mention him or at least thank him somewhere on the CD. I agree on the songs, there's not one I don't like. I did end up reading an interview that the singer gave and it put me off a notch. Sounded a little bit as if he did it all by himself, without any help whatsoever. That could be just me reading too much into it though. I still enjoy the CD.

I really like that album too. People say Scott had something to do with it, and that he was mentioned somewhere in the CD booklet or something, but I can't find his name on there anywhere, so I have no clue if he had something to do with it or not.

Scott Stapp didn't have anything to do with their CD out on Wind-up (Believe). Stapp produced their demo CD which Big Dismal shopped to Wind-up (it helped get them signed).

The Cd is OK, I like the first song the best. I feel that the whole Cd sounds like one continuos song, I found myself skipping over lots. It became kind of boring after the first couple of songs, but that is just my opinion.

That makes sense he produced their demo but there is still a big link between the bands. Have you heard he's joining Big Dismal! LOL only playing with ya! He also produced for The Colour Green if i'm not mistaken!
