Cool, how did you get it Kerri? Ticketbastard.com? Does that mean you get tickets for both nights or just for that one night?

I have no idea, but it was %%@!#$E expensive. I just ordered for VR, but at that price, maybe it's for both days. I can't go on the 27th because I have to work, but I really do want to see these guys, so yeah, I bit the bullet...through Ticketbastard! hehehe, I love that...anyway...now I'll get to see them. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

STP were supposed to be a great live act back in the day as where GNR! Should be great seeing Weiland and Slash on stage! Weiland has that Mick Jagger thing going on stage and a bit of that David Bowie thing as well.

well... everything sounds the same as GnR. Of course if there was a concert here I'd go, but I'm not buying thier album. Except for the vocalist, the music is like a repeat of Guns. I heard the whole album on VH1 and it didn't do anything to me... maybe it'll grow on me later.

But Guns it's over for like 10 years now, right? I don't think Slash developed... he used the same recipe... he could have been more experimental.

while i agree that it doesn't live up to the hype (you gotta feel sorry for the guys a bit), it, IMO, isn't the best thus far this year. you may have heard of Edgewater a little, or perhaps not. Either way, their debut album, South of Sideways, kicks hella ass! i got it a few months ago, and still haven't stopped listening to it regularly.

I saw them last night. GREAT SHOW! Scott Weiland was a madman. I had no idea he had the moves he did. And to belt out the tunes the way he did. HOLY CRAP...Fall to Pieces was absolutely beautiful. Scott talked about how he was in a bad way, and they were in the rehearsal studio and Slash started playing this beautiful melody and how moving it was and that song turned into Fall to Pieces. It does indeed have a gorgeous solo. I don't remember the exact set list (I'm lame at that, LOL), but they did play for about an hour and a half with a couple of STP and GnR songs mixed into their stuff. Set Me Free was a highlight as well. Slash was on fire. It was the first time I'd seen either one of them live...and Duff...OMG is he HOT ...heheh, sorry...they were all shirtless about a third of the way into the show. When Scott came out he looked like one of the Village People. I was cracking up. Had the cop hat and leather jacket, black pants with a silver-studded belt....Unreal!!!!

It was an outdoor venue, all GA, no seats, just standing at the Borgata Casino in Atlantic City. I stood right in front of the soundboard, which was nice and safe because the moshers were in full form a few rows ahead of me . It was a beeeeautiful day as well. I also saw Hoobastank, whom I really don't like, so I wasn't too impressed. I felt bad for them, though, because the crowd was kind of sedate for them. The first band was Fountains of Wayne and they were actually pretty good. More emo-sounding punk type stuff, but they were good for what they were. There were a couple of hard-core fans who were so cute, singing every song and jumping up and down. Not too many people were there for them, but they were appreciative. I had a nice spot right up front. They were on the second stage.

You guys would have loved this Maxim magazine party stuff. Lots of bikini-clad women running around, playing volleyball and cheerleading and such. It was a Fantasy Island theme party, lots of beach stuff going on.
Anyway, catch VR if you can. They were awesome!

sounds cool but not VR but this Maxim party!

sweet that you had a great time and great that his voice was on fire. i know with their set at the KROQ Weenie Roast that he was fairly ill and his voice wasen't too good that day but he struggled on nonetheless.

sorry to spoil the mood but i thought people might want to see this;

(straight from the below empty fansite)

Duff was featured on America's Most Wanted last night. In a sad case, a GnR/VR fan named Lori Lepper was stabbed to death in her apartment while updating Duff's website. Police are looking for any leads to help bring her killer(s) to justice. Her screen name on AOL was LoadedX, and anyone who has had contact with her who may have ANY info concerning her murder can call 1-800-CRIME-TV. You can also contact them through the AMW site.

Lori Lepper followed her rock-and-roll dreams to Los Angeles, where her friends included Duff McKagan, the former bass player for Guns 'n' Roses. Lori was building the official website for Duff's new band, Velvet Revolver. But two days before Thanksgiving, 2002, someone stabbed her to death in her apartment. Police have no suspects, and very few clues in the brutal murder.

America's Most Wanted is asking for everyone's help. I know thousands of people visit this site every day. Hopefully someone who reads this can give more information!
