Its official
DSD has been a Sinker.
Why didn't it do good? It is my all time 2 Favorite song in the world. How could it not even hit #1 when songs that suck ass get #1 all the time?? I never hear DSD on the radio or Tv... Its to bad, I really like that song. And how on Earth did Are You Ready Sink too?? That song is amazing (Like all of creeds songs) And i cannot belive that out of creeds 5 Singles for Weathered only ONE of them hit #1 (My sacrifice) I mean HOW? OlB Only got to 6th, bullets was censored and got to 23rd, Weathered, i hav no idea what is happening to weathered but it's not doing well. And DSD Got to 21st till it dropped like a rock. Dropping over 23 spots each week. And just WHY did they censor bullets?? I cannot belive they censor that when they play emenem songs and songs with swearing and bashing in it, and censor one that used a "Violent" Term to express a thing of respect.

It is because the idustry has no clue about "real talent"
DSD is not one of my favorites, it is good don't get me wrong but it is one that I don't seek out. I think Weathered would of made it big if it had more exposure, it is more ROCK, and it is just the best to me off that CD!

DSD rocks! although it has a poppy appeal!
And it´s doing pretty well here, since the pop radios are playing it a lot. Personally, I´d have released weathered or shwm instead of dsd and inside us all or faceless man instead of are you ready... but stapp said dsd means a lot to him... and Creed dedicated it to the kids that became orphans in 9/11! That was beautiful! I think it was worthy to release it!

You flood the charts, some of them aren't going to do well. Tremonti was saying before that instead of letting a single play out, they were going to release a new single as soon as the current one starts to drop. I think they ended up with too many singles. 3 is plenty for a CD, 5 though? Its a bit much

DSD is one of my faves. I think Weathered is probably my least fave. I really like it, but it's probably the one I listen to the least.

Said Eyes, I agree. I think there was just a little too much Creed overload as far as singles. Personally, I like it when groups release only 1 or 2 songs. Let the buyers enjoy the rest of the CD .

the problem is that they are trying to appeal to the rock comm and the pop comm and it is not a good thing to do. they need to concentrate on the rock comm and try not to get their song played on the top 40 station so they do not get burnt out. If their singles are getting in to the pop charts 2 or 3 singles and forget about anothor single but if they are doing great in the rock scene and they not getting over exposed then they can pull 4 or 5 singles.

I wish they released Weathered instead of DSD as a CD single. IMHO, DSD is probably the worst Creed song, while Weathered is one of the best songs from the album.

You might be correct about that, but the industry doesn't decide how high a song goes on the charts. It is decided purely by requests. The song just wasn't that great of a song. Its a bit to sappy and soft. Most rock stations won't play it because of that. SHWM really should have been released. I think that song would have blown up on the radio. |

I haven't heard DSD ONCE on our local radio station, but it's been on tv a couple of times.

Yeah I agree, DSD is not one of my favorites it is good don't get me wrong, but I feel about it like some feel about Lullaby. SHWM probably would have done great, but my ultimate favorite on the CD is Weathered hands down!!!!

Bullets' problem is it came out at a bad time. We were still getting over 9/11.
As for DSD, I think its a awesome song, but when the supposed "top 40 chart" has 30 rap songs, and 9 pop songs, they don't stand a chance. Rap is getting in the way of a lot of good music, Rap should stay rap, and stay in its own genre. Much like country and pop should. ________ HEAD SHOP Last edited by Marty : 09-17-2011 at 12:38 PM. |
