they say life is a bungeejump
how carelessly can you handle your life?
I have to ask them a question
have you really been down there

have you been to places
where children die of AIDS
have you been there
where storms have taken their toll
can you understand this river of tears

don't you know
if one of this world's orphans was you
if it was you that was forgotten
you would sing a different song
fear is real

if all you've been building up was shattered
would you be able to start all over
'cause it's easy to be a cool kid
and do anything the rest does
but don't you forget how fragile we are

don't go and pretend you know it all
it takes years to grow
don't you know throwing your life away
won't take you to a better place
sometimes it takes suffering to
understand how lucky you are

so don't jump in the fire
don't try to belong
say goodbuye to your insticts
and discover selfcontrole

why actually I have been in a hurricane devestated area. life stands still when there is no power, phones, running water, airconditioner, streetlights. It really sucks.
