I just didn't like the overall attitude of the writer, even if they were in favor of AB. And I don't care for what most people would consider a "metal crowd," no offense to anyone.

Yup, and I still deal with that bashing today. A couple of days ago I was chatting with someone on MSN, apparently a big Creed hater. I tried to tell him to check out the awesomeness that is Alter Bridge but all he would keep saying was that they were Creed 2.0 and that Creed sucked. And of course he had to bring up the whole Christian band thing and Stapp's supposed "Jesus" poses.

He wasn't even willing to give AB a try based on that stuff, yet he was plugging artists like Breaking Benjamin and Ben Folds. I get annoyed with the bashing for liking bands like Creed, but I'm used to it by now and I don't let the media and critics determine what I listen to.

Doesn't that piss you off? It's like talking to the fucking wall. That's why I've always embraced the "if they don't like it, fuck 'em" attitude.

It really did. I kept explaining to the guy over and over again that they never were a "Christian band" and kept giving examples of how they weren't. Then he brings up the fact that Stapp did a song for the Passion of the Christ album as a way to say Creed was a Christian band and I'm like "yeah, that was AFTER Creed and AFTER Stapp refound his faith." After I got done defending Creed, he starts with Alter Bridge being Creed 2.0 in terms of sound and I'm like no way, they're heavier than Creed was, at least after MOP. So I defended AB as well. It's not like the guy was listening, but at least I TRIED to tell him about how good AB is. I guess with some guys, you just can't talk music with because they just aren't open minded. So I just ignore, and keep listening to whatever music I like. I could care less what everyone thinks about my taste in music.

Here's what you do... you ask them if they Like AudioSlave or Soundgarden... if they say yes... just say Myles Sounds ALOT Like Chris Cornell... that might help...

Yeah, I actually have thought about doing that. Next time I get on there and that guy starts bashing AB, I'll tell'em that.
