The band have now finally confirmed that the release date for their new Studio album 'A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH ' will be 28th August in most of the world, 29th August in Canada, and the USA has been confirmed as 5th September.

The album CD will also be available as a Limited Edition Special Deluxe format which contains a Bonus DVD. The DVD contains nearly an hour of documentary footage plus videos and photos all shot whilst the band were making the album. The Documentary 'The Making of A Matter Of Life and Death' directed by Matthew Amos (Early Days, Death on the Road DVD Documentaries) features candid video footage shot largely by Kevin Shirley himself during the recording of the album giving a real behind the scenes look at life in the studio . The bonus DVD also features the full 7.21 minute video promo for 'The Reincarnation of Benjamin Breeg', and a special intimate filming of the band recording 'Different World' in the studio.

'A MATTER OF LIFE AND DEATH' will also be available as a Limited Edition double picture disc vinyl in gatefold sleeve, and as a digital download, available through the newly launched official Iron Maiden Digital Store, where you can buy single tracks, a bundle, or an album for your PC, or your MP3 player.

Iron maiden have also launched an official Mobile Graphics site where you will find all your favourite Maiden artwork to download as wallpaper onto your mobile phone. Also available are some great animated screensavers. Currently the service is only available in the UK, but we hope to be rolling it out further in the near future.

i have heard theri last album which was compilation of Live performaces titled " death on the road" ...and its preety awsome...... theri last studio album was "dance of death" .....and its very awsome, specially the title song with all those electrifying solos............before that, came "Brave new world" and it wasnt that good...but some songs were exceptional...like blood borthers and brave new world.....i hope to check out this new album ASAP

finaly got the album today.......... and i must say, these guys, the last of their breed, have simply kept them selves from being sold out to the modren rock scene...... and there kept alive the legend of metal..........


the idea behind the album is WAR........ and all the songs are based on it......

same old extended solos, 2 to 3 main solos in every song, supported by easy but amazing riffs, not to mention the great control on variation on every solo, a must must listen for every guitar lover................

ofcource, with 8 hands behind the guitars and 6000 grams of brain doing the solos, it just awsome.
