I fell into this storm long ago
for so long I've stumbeled along this thorny road
lost my sight, lost my heart, lost my hope
all my prayers were in vain
all that mattered was stained
the world was closing in on me
heaven was silent, hell was pulling me in
all my thoughts directed to what could have been

all that kept me here were all my thoughts of you
even death couldn't destroy a love so true
everything I knew was fading
but nothing could erase you
you took my tears and gave me a smile
looked deep into my heart
and when I was duying
you jumped into the fire

never thought I'd get to feel your love
but just when I was nearing the edge
I felt your wings fluttering above me
unselfishlly you took all the pain away from me
I was still, blinded by your light
you read my thoughts and trusted me blindly
you were the only one who believed in me
in this long night you gave me eyes to see
