no but seriously, all kidding aside...

this has been the first relationship ive had that when through valentines day. in our two year relationship (or imprisionment which you like to call) this will be the third Vday we endure together. first year i gave her a rose, second year i gave her a more roses. so now, its time to do something more "special".

friday when she gets home she will recieve a package which includes: 4ft stuffed bear, dozen roses, and a box of chocolates. then later that night i will pick her up and i will take her top the Marriot hotel in downtown Houston. why that hotel? because it has a revovling restaurant at the very top of the hotel which overlooks downtown houston and the theatre district and at night its just awsome.

so far that what i have planned, i was planning on doing that 7 days of valentine's that i saw on the simpson's, but then it accurred to me that it was just a cartoon and i dont have that kind of money.......yet

I've hardly celebrated Valentine's Day. It's something I abandoned years ago, even when I had boyfriends and all. I just find the whole thing not my cup of tea. I think that there is too much pressure on guys to have to buy or do something extravagant for the women in their lives. I feel bad for them. Couples should celebrate romance when they can and more than on one day a year .

I was talking to a guy at work about what he was going to buy his wife and he said they pretty much consider it a made up holiday and they usually just get a card for one another. They said that they would rather spend the 80.00 on dinner one night that you don't have to wait hours to get into a place instead of buying roses, etc. I had never heard that before, but I guess some people are that way. I have always celebrated it, I guess it just depends on the person.

I've loved Valentine's Day since I was a kid passing out Valentines, even when I was to old for that and didn't have a boyfriend my Mom always gave me something. It's one of the things I remember she did that meant so much and now I pass it on to my kids. It's just a fun day to let the people you love know it!!! :P

i never liked Vday when i was younger. i would always give out cards in elementary school but i would rarely recieve any in return. that prolly explains why i am going overboard on this one...

I've never been into Valentines Day for the same reasons as Dogstart - every day should be a special day to show love! Now, having said that, I have only once actually been in a relationship on Valentines Day, and the whole relationship was going down the toilet anyway, so I broke up with him on February 17!

I love Valentine's Day!! I like to give cards etc... I am a JUGE HALLMARK junkie!

Anyways there have been many special valentine's days for me. Believe it or not the most memorable one was when I was a little girl about 7. My dad is a UPS man and he always works late nights, and on Valentine's day this particular year he was REALLY late and I was so excited to give him my homeade card. So I ended up falling asleep in his easy chair, by the time he came home it was around 8pm, and I woke up to a white teddy bear with read ears and red bottomed feet with a long stem rose on it! Needless to say I was so excited, and inside the card was a love letter my dad wrote me about how proud he was of me and his dreams for me to be so many things etc.... At the age of 7, I was happy and I read it over and over through the years and slept with that bear until the night before my wedding. That was a special valentine's for me!

Of course there are others with boyfriends and my hubby, but that one was the most special to me!
