Yeah, they do it real well. They come up with facts as arguments, not just angry screams and curses!

Here's a quote from their song: Boom:
Quote: (Originally Posted by System Of A Down - Boom) Modern globalization,

Matador corporations,
Puppeting your frustrations,
With the blinded flag,

Is the name of the game,
The bottom line is money,
Nobody gives a fuck.
4000 hungry children leave us per hour,
From starvation,
While billions spent on bombs,
Creating death showers.

Boom, boom, boom, boom,
Every time you drop the bomb,
You kill the God your child has born.
Boom, boom, boom, boom

Why most we kill our own kind?

I love SOAD's instruments. Friggin awesome. But I can't stand the singer. Uggghhh.

Anyway not sure how this turned into an AB thread but BID is the worst of the big four in my opinion. The Best three are ODR, FTR and Metalingus. After that its BID, then WYW, and then everything else is just... bleh. kinda the same. I like a lot of the other songs for the vocals; but the melodies, hooks and riffs are all boring and not really original at all.

Oh well... Still I think they're one of the best bands in todays rock/metal music! Along with Alter Bridge, Metallica, Submersed, Audioslave, Atomship and U2 they really bring a different, kind of advanced, sound to todays rockradio!

Agreed. I really like Aerials. He's a good singer when he sings, but when he shouts/screams/yells, I feel compelled to change the station.

SOAD is growing on me. I didn't use to care about them, but their music is getting better and better as I follow the singles. And the singer has a distinct voice too, I like it coz it's different.

And they have the balls to make songs against Bush in times of ClearChannel, I admire that.

I loved the album.... hey where can you hear the song Broken? Can you give me a link? I heard some songs on scottstapp.com but they don't give the other songs like Broken so I wouldn't know. Surround Me I love, it's my life portrayed in a song, I love it so much!

You guys make it sound like Bush has people shot if they voice out against him lol. And what does Clear Channel have to do with Bush?

hmm, that's just an observation. I won't make this the political forum. But you just gotta think of what happened to the Dixie Chicks and voila.

And from what I read, ClearChannel sponsored Bush's campaign and is supporting him 100%, boycotting artist that voice against him.

At least that's my understanding. Let me know if I'm wrong.

Yeah, there is. I hate the vocals. I don't really listen to SOAD... because of the vocals... lol

And there is music I like: Led Zeppelin.
