I'll have to find the link and post it here but there is a major uproar in Germany. A German zoo was experiencing problems with its penguin population when the male penguins were becoming a little too friendly and so its breeding program wasen't very successful. The solution was to bring in some females from Sweden (got to love the swedish babes lol) and hope that would solve the problem. What is the big deal you ask? Well a local gay and lesbian rights group has said amongst other things the move is homophobic! :

Perhaps instead of taking this route (pun unintended lol) the zoo could have employed "Straight-Eye for the Queer Penguin!"

Bob is an emperor penguin and is a carpenter and loves nothing more than sitting back watching the football and driving down the local drag strip picking up chicks.

Nathan a common penguin is an IT Specialist and is a major nerd. He spends all day in front of his computer and the last conversation he had with a girl went something like this "um ah um um ah ah ummm ummm ah......so do you like....umm stuff"?

Carson is an interior designer and the other penguins are sure that this penguin had yet to come out of the closest. He has swapped his suit that he got at birth for some new threads including a brand new wardrobe from Versace. He knows more about girls than most guys would ever want to know and will help the gay penguins learn how to pick up chicks.

Fred has received social security for the past 30 years and has never held down a stable job in his life. He lives with his elderly mother (who still supports him financially) and spends his days watching Dr.Phil, Oprah and the occassional adult entertainment. We're not sure what Fred is going to offer the gay penguins other than the art of eating your own weight in steak in a single sitting.

A German zoo has imported four female penguins from Sweden in an effort to tempt its gay penguins to go straight.



The four Swedish females were dispatched to the Bremerhaven Zoo in Bremen after it was found that three of the zoo's five penguin pairs were homosexual.

Keepers at the zoo ordered DNA tests to be carried out on the penguins after they had been mating for years without producing any chicks.

It was only then they realised that six of the birds were living in homosexual partnerships.

Director Heike Kueck said that the zoo hoped to see some baby penguins in the coming months.

She said that the birds had been mating for years and one couple even adopted a stone that they protected like an egg.

Kueck said that the project has the support of the European Endangered Species Programme because the penguins, which are native to South America, are an endangered species.

A biologist will be on hand to monitor the experiment.

But introducing the Bremerhaven penguins to their new Swedish friends may not be as successful as hoped after earlier experiments revealed great difficulties in separating homosexual couples.

In case they show no interest, the zoo has also flown in two new male penguins "so that the ladies don't miss out altogether", Kueck added.

lol that is one way to look at it although it also shows homosexuality is a natural occurence and isn't just a "lifestyle". my religious beliefs tell me natural doesn't always equal right however but that is a whole different topic. i thought it was hilarious the gay and lesbian group felt so threatened by a group of penguins getting laid with girls....oh the horror! LOL
