For The Love of the Craft
Dedicated and relentless I persued my dreams Fell by the wayside…but, just for a while Until my heart spoke to me How I remember those childhood fantasies I’ve grabbed hold …made them mine Thoughts of those days made me laugh… I know that all I’m doing is for the love of the craft The life I’ve lived has prepared me Taught me to draw on each new day Treating every breath I breathe As if it were my last Placed in the file of experience Under a tab marked past One file closes a new one opens All for the love of the craft When this day has finished… As time slowly slips away I realize I’ve walked another mile In someone else’s shoes As a character Along a predestined path… Happy to know that I’ve done it All for the love of the craft ©2005 All rights reserved Susan D. tried something different here...some rhyming some not...but hope it comes together as you read it...thanks ahead of time...

and my favorite part was this...when the day has finshied as time slowly slips away..i realized i,ve walked a mile in someone else,s shoes as a charcter along a predestined path
