Last year one of my friends was reviewing the Good Charlotte cd for the school newspaper, and in it he said that he would rather listen to two cheese graters being rubbed together through a bull horn than listen to their music. I thought that was harsh, but this guy definetly blew my friend out of the water!

I like the bound and tied analogy Teri I think they should throw the Macerana, however you spell it, into that play list.

This guy obviously came from an anti-Creed stand point to begin with-it isn't a fair review of the music itself-just his stupid unfair opinion based on what he "thinks" Creed is all about or what he has been told.

his review offers no true explination to why he hates Creed or the album. It is his opinon but unfortunatly he can post it even though he is highly uneducated on getting his point across

...AND THEY ALL STINK.
I stopped reading after the first paragraph. Why bother reading crap like that? It's pointless. There's just some people like that in our messed up little world. It's neat how they created a few new words too. H-D

From the words of Scott Stapp:
"My stage is shared by many millions/ who lift their hands up high because we feel this/We are one, we are strong/The more you hold us down the more we press on!" Need I say more. Who cares what this guy thinks . We know what a great band Creed is we love them and that's that :band:

That article was the most horrible thing I have ever read. What a freakin' loser. Some people suck all together. He is the one who looks like the loser.

To get a job in a decent newspaper most times you need a degree in journalism or such.
If he's got one -- he can write better than most of you guys. I did find article to be somewhat harsh and you are fast to dismiss it as a pile of bullshit just because you disagree with it so much. Compare Stapp's decontextualized quasi-hope to the above-mentioned Guthrie and Marley songs, where there's some type of vision of a better world. When Guthrie sings "the cops and soldiers nailed him in the air/and they layed Jesus Christ in his grave," he's angry at the capitalist state. When Marley sings "one bright morning when my work is over/I will fly away home," you at least know that he's unsatisfied with the state of affairs in Jamaica but that he has hope for its future. Stapp doesn't give us any clues he's just a whiner riding the spiritual obscurantist gravy train. right on. so before you say that claims in thsi articles are unfound -- read it again, oki?

There are some educated people on this board. Just because we are quick to dismiss BS doesn't mean we are mindless. If he was such a wonderful and gifted writer, he wouldn't waste his time writing about how horrible Creed is. Not only because I love Creed am I defending them, but because if you don't like a band, and you really really can't stand them, then you just decide not to like them and go on. This guy chose to write about how horrible they are and if they were so horrible to him, he wouldn't have wasted his time. He is a loser who is probably jealous and has nothing better to do with his time.

So if review isn't positive it shouldnt be?
Why he wrote review on weathered? Maybe because he got an assigment to? His job is to give an opinnion on various releases, and just because it's very negative it doesnt mean that he's jelous or a looser. It just means he's doing his job.

If he was assigned to do this, then why be as harsh as he was. It sounds to me like he was trying to be pissy on purpose. I don't know all the facts so I will say no more, but he sounds to me like an idiot.
