Something happened late that night...
Something I was told to hide... No one to confide in... Always with me it abides... It echos in my mind... As the memories take flight... Everything around reminds... This secret I must keep... Down deep inside... Where no one can find... Ashamed... They can blame all they want... But I'm not that blunt... The secret I harbor... Consumes me... No way to be free... This is my fee... I must pay... No one will beileve... Me... This is truth I know... I wonder if they can see past me... Does the secret show through... No... How could it... They're all blind anyways... A good thing maybe... Keeping it all hid... Locking it away... Pushing away the thoughts... For better days ahead... So I was taught... The secrets we all keep... The ones we know we must...
