I think AFI is an infusion of hard rock and punk rock. and i find nothing wrong with some punk rock bands. some of them are corny, but some of them are good and actually have meaningful songs.

how could u compare afi to the ataris? they have 2 completely different styles. the ataris are more of the punk-pop type and afi is actually a punk band... have u ever heard any of their cds? also... just because a band became a 'sell-out' doesnt mean they automatically lose thier 'punk' i mean sure that may apply to some bands but not all
