When EXATLY does life start?
Adult?
teenager? toddler? baby? newborn? featus? zygote? sperm/egg? When would you think one becomes a "human being" Considering if you have a sperm and an egg they COULD become a human being, so where do you cross the line? and a newborn has no real "human brain" or conscieness, does it count as a human? Considering mentally its about as consiouse of its existance then a hampster

i think it depends on the person Being Brought In The World When They Become Human I Would Say Infant From The Time Your Born Because When We Are Born We Are Ready Pick Up On The Ways Of Humans But But Were Not Human In The Womb But Life When A Mother Is With Child They Know Somethings Going On Inside Emotions Are Overwhelming During That Time So In Sprit You Are A Carrier Of A Soul Not Sperm Or Fetus But Life Its Only The Flesh Forming In The Body So Yes When Were Born In To This World Were Born In Sin So Freaking A We Become Human From The Time Were Born Then We Become Reborn Again ~~If Thats Your Choice So Your Question I Like HAHAHA I Dont Think I was Ever Human X But who we are is created during the time we are formed in da mamas Im Sure Your Speciale X

Newborn baby. A fetus is a living thing, but not a human being. It needs to grow fully and be born to be human. Otherwise (in my OPINION), it is only humanoid.

Yes but the featus is alive and consious much before it is born. In fact most featuses are exactly the same as a newborn, only difference is that their still being fed by that cord thing In fact even newborn babys dont have fully developed brains untill thier 4 years old, and they have no "choice or whatnot" untill they are 2 (which is why you cant remeber anything before age 3-4, your brain isnt done yet and still growing so you dont have the mental things you do now) so would a baby also be a "humanoid" because its no different then a 5 week old featus. and the only difference from a 5 week old featus and a 2 week old featus is its size.

Human beings and all other creations have always been alive...anything made up of cells has "Life"...for when cells divide they are renewing their purpose of growth and growth is "life"...
to ask when life begins for human beings is more a philisophical or spiritual question as well as one of scientific curiosity...the joining of the egg and sperm creates the first division of the cell...scientifically that is the beginning of the renewal of life...and the cellular division continues until we have a viable human being... the question to really ask is...when does the soul/spirit of that new being God has Created truely become just what it is...another human? depending on ones philosophical or spiritual beliefs...it can be anytime after that first cellular division of conception...or some may even believe that we choose our "new" family in order to progress in our spiritual journey of continous learning... |

I read everyones opinion and I asked my wife this question. She's a pre-med student who has been through a bunch of chemistry classes and what not. She told me when the sperm and egg are one, which is called a zygote, is when one becomes a human being. Sounds good to me.

So if someone says human life begins at birth, do they also believe that abortions are ok, no questions asked?

Umbilical cord
Yeah, I know, I've studied neuroscience in college. Not exactly. Kids that old still know exactly what they're doing. Heck, they have to learn to walk, talk, and interact with others somehow. Just because you don't remember things from when you were that old doesn't mean they didn't happen. Since you're so young, your not held in high responsibility for them, but what you did still happened. Here's an example... when I've babysat my buddy Peter (from the time he was born until he and his parents moved when he was 4), he would knock over his brother's tower of blocks, laugh about it, and do it again when the tower was rebuilt. Point of the story: he knew what he was doing. No, just read what I already wrote. Let's put it this way... I BELIEVE that the fetus is the preliminary basis of a life. Beginning of a new life comes when the developed fetus (as a baby) is detached from it's mother physically and is an independant being. Like how a branch is not a tree unless is rooted and grows on its own, the baby must root (ie, become detached from it's mother) and grow (ie, grow up) on it's own. H-D

I saw these monkeys on TV. One Big monkey smacked a little one, the zoo dude grabed them both and told them to shake hands, the big one tried to shake the little ones hand to be friends but the little one ran away so the big one got embarases and started to sulk away. Monkyes/apes have more human featueres then a 2 year old child, hell mayby even a 3 year old child, in fact dogs/most "smart" animals have more/same "human" features then a 2 year old child, Does that mean that they TOO "know" what they are doing. and they too are spiritual beings?

I believe abortions are fine in the first two trimesters. Not after that.
