The new Saliva song is called Always, and it's an amazingly good song. Their CD comes out next Tuesday.

The music of Saliva is alright. Some good melodies, riffs, etc. However, when that Josey guy opens his mouth, that whole band goes straight to the crapper on a jet bound for Hades.

jango,

I totally agree with that statement... I like a few of their songs but when I saw them open for Nickelback last year (or the year before?) I almost had to leave to puke in the bathroom. They were worse then Sevendust was when I saw them open for Creed (I hate singers that scream through the entire show and don't attempt to sing).

Exactly, there is, believe it or not, a way to 'scream' musically. Maynard does it well. It's a form of lachrymology, but Josey just does it (like many others, mudvayne, I'm lookin' your way) mainly as a gimmick.

I saw a snippit of Saliva's RnR Hall of Fame performance, and the guy could barely make through the rest of the show after the first song. Skipped half of the verses in each song to get a drink of water.

However, this was nice because it allowed me to listen to the actual talent in the band, devoid of the laryngitis infected nails-to-chalkboard voice of that man and his crap lyrics.

Jango, you needn't sugar coat things. Tell us how you REALLY feel.
