EXACTLY!

I have it, and it is kinda good. That is... if you like bluegrass type stuff. There are a ton of the Pickin' On CD's out, and you can view them at www.pickinon.com

Pickin on Creed is a tribute. It's actually really good. Obviously no lyrics, but they have the instrumental parts down pretty well and an instrument always plays the melody line so you can follow along.

Symphonic Creed is also very good.

In my opinion, both very GOOD buys and worth the $$. They're not a half-assed tribute or anything, the attention to detail is THERE. I use them when I'm doing a lot of homework as background music.

Riding the Edge is a decent interview...but otherwise sucks.

I've got the CD and it's not half bad.....kind of a quiet back ground music, very mellow.

I would buy it if I saw it...

I just bought the String Quartet tribute to Creed and LOVE IT...and my son, who is not a classical music fan likes it too...

I have Fade to Bluegrass, a Bluegrass version of METALLICA...with singing also...and I love it too...

It just helps you hear the music in a new way, when it's presented in a different context.

That's not to say that ANYTHING goes...I would not like a "muzak" version...

But the string quartet has a lot of "angst" in it, very feeling....and the bluegrass version of Metallica...well it's like a contrast, that light jolly sound but the deep dark meaning of the songs, sort of sets them in bold relief...

I've seen that in Wal*Mart but I don't think anyone sings on it it's just different ways other people recorded the songs.
I dunno though.

Just wanted to let everyone know that if you are interested in the "pickin on" thing there are several copies on ebay. I was looking around one day to see what all things Creed I could find and saw that many times.
