Indeed Christianity does preach forgiveness, but people don't have to be doormats. He made his bed, now he must lie in it. For the record: I don't belong to any organized religion. Besides, I know many hypocrites from many different religions. It's not specific to Christianity, and the ones I know are just as hypocritical as many Christians I know.
