Mr. Gibson doesn't seem to have learned anything about being a reporter. Such trivial matters like checking facts is foreign to this man. For example, one case trumpeted on the cover of the book, that employees in Illinois were forbidden to use the phrase "Merry Christmas" is a well-known urban myth. Anybody who lives in Chicago has heard this one, and has also learned that it's a complete fabrication. A myth.

I'm sure there's profit to be made selling this baloney to the right-wing fanatics who've been whipped into a frenzy by the cynical manipulators at Fox News, but one wonders if eventually there won't be enough money left in the unemployment and disability checks to buy another foamy, propagandizing screed.

It doesnt matter if such books contain factual content; they simply need titles like "The War on Christmas: How the Liberal Plot to Ban the Sacred Christian Holiday Is Worse Than You Thought."

Hey, if Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, Bernard Goldberg, and Bill O'Reilly can make tons of money pandering to their readers' base instincts, lesser knowns like John Gibson deserve a crack at the money pile generated by this growth industry, too.
