I think Metallica has influenced most, if not all hard rock bands out there

I really have liked Metallica for a long time, saw them in concert back in 1992 they rocked, and I love thier old stuff! BUT I think that St. Anger is the crapiest CD I have heard in a long time! It sounds terrible, I can't even stand listening to 2 songs from it! To me it sounds like they are playing on a K-mart drum set and had it recorded in some garage somewhere. I was VERY dissapointed with that CD!

I consider Metallica dead to me after Jason left. Everything has gone down hill. St. Anger, Donkey Kong with brades bassist, NO FING SOLOS, Drop tuned 2 STEPS. Fing sellouts is all they are now.

But like KISS fans today, I like the old days.

Metallica rules and always will. Most of you don't like St.Anger but you don't realize that it is really a breakthrough. Nothing out right now sounds like it. Metallica has reinvented the way music can be done today. Most bands today just have rehash after rehash of the same bs. Metallica on the other hand has moved forward and created something new and fresh and bad to the bone. Plus Marty I'm sorry, by calling Metallica sellouts you just proved you know nothing about the band.

It may be "reinventing" music, but that does not mean all the fans will like it! I myself don't mind change, but this one just is not so great! It is my opinion, that is all! I still think they rock, just don't like St. Anger!
