I wrote the following for my Aunt Jean's memorial service that was held today in Atlanta. She was a beautiful person. in the midst of the war to end all wars a shining soul entered this world of mountain folk , living quiet and simple lives. in simplicity the most important things in life are taught and revealed. a childhood not rushed, but tended as a garden a garden that will survive. a great depression, but it never broke her optimism. brother can you spare a dime? sister! what a meal! her love revealed by her dance in the kitchen, breaking bread together uniting hearts in love. happy days are not here again, they are always here the trick is in the perception she knew the trick she had the heart loved ones across the world in danger fighting, yet another war, she remained strong in the strength of simplicity and love. and hope, always hope keeping on the sunnyside a countenance so bright nothing but blue skies do I see nothing but family and kin friends life abounding love that is ever seeking to shine on us all. she was a carrier, an agent always in service to this love always a shining soul. we are all rich, so rich nothing but blue skies should we see. ~michael |

Great words Iron...
Your aunt sounded incredible, so hard to find these days... Half full they say, not half empty. Sorry for your loss... Prayers to you and yours, David and Family |
