Re: WWE Wrestlemania 22

heck yes i did! got with some friends so it only cost us $10 each.
that edge-foley match was intense! OMFG! seriously brutal. i've never seen anything like it. definetly match of the year material. the mickie-trish match was surprisingly good too. one of the best divas matches i've seen in a long time.
and the 5'6" tall, 165 lb. rey mysterio winning the world's heavyweight title. wow.

it was an amazing 'mania!

Re: WWE Wrestlemania 22

I thought it was an excellent Mania. The Edge-Foley match was very brutal - we expect that sort of thing from Foley, but Edge was outstanding - I respect him even more as a performer now.
I think the old 'get him some respect then turn him face' routine was used in this one.

My favourite match was McMahon/Michaels. After Bret didn't come out for the Hall Of Fame line-up I thought they were saving him for this match, but Bret was true to his word.

I was disapointed they didn't take the belt off Cena. The more he has the belt, the more hostile the fans are towards him. I think the WWE are doing this for a reason. Imagine the heat he'll get when they turn him heel.

As for the rest. Benjamin's excellent performance in the MITB match proved that he is the best pure athlete in the WWE - if only he could use the mic (he should speak to JBL). Trish/Mickie - great match, pity about the crowd screwing it up! (I hate those 'You f***** up' chants). Great to see 'Taker flying over those ropes again.

The WWE may have failed with a majority of the PPV's over the past few years, but they never get Mania wrong.

Re: WWE Wrestlemania 22

Hell yes!
Im also annoyed that Cena still has the title.. He needs stripped fast..
Though if you remember.. when they showed the Backlash trailer thing.. Cena said " Im gonna take what was mine back.. Backlash " So i thought HHH was gonna pick up the win. Im guessing theres gonna be a rematch or something on Raw.. gonna have to wait & see.

I saw it and thought it was pretty good compared to normal. Glad they let
Taker keep his undefeated at wrestlemania streak goin'.
TNA is still so much better than WWE!

Dude, give it another shot. I used to hate it too, but they are so much more hardcore than WWE.

Re: WWE Wrestlemania 22

I think the coverage is different in the UK. We're a few months behind and the commentators are different (and crap).

I'm not a big fan of the ring. I think the six-sided ring makes TNA a bit of a novelty, not to mention the entrances. It seems more American Gladiators then Pro Wrestling.

I think they're trying to be too different. With the talent they have at their disposal they could easily match WWE in-ring (which isn't hard at the moment).

Bret Hart - YES!! A true legend who can, without question, refer to himself as 'the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be'. The only man who can even come close to him is.......William Regal!!

HHH is the best there is today (and probably the past decade). Loved his new entrance music.

The Ultimate Warrior - OH NO!! The guy who played this character even changed his name to the Ultimate Warrior in real life. Great character, great entrance music, TERRIBLE wrestler.
