It's transmitted by touch or germs left on something you've touched. So since I work around money, someone who has it can rub their eyes, then reach in their pocket and grab a $10 and pay for something, then the germ is on that bill. If I touch that bill, then touch my eye, I can get it. If I don't wash my hands and then I touch one of my kids' toys and then THEY play with that toy and touch their eye, they can get it. It runs rampant in the daycares and schools. I'm still amazed the kids didn't get it. (knock wood).

Teri,
I'm glad to hear that your eyes are getting better and that your kids didn't get it to  I have never had pink eye but I have always had to be at the eye doctor all my life from being legally blind and I know that your eyes are nothing you want to mess with! They are so crucial and I could never imagine how people that can't see at all must feel
