Arcade Fire

You know what, I am not a fan of indie music at all, I'm not kidding...but it seems that this Canadian band, Arcade Fire, who are labelled as such, have still managed to catch my attention. I saw them at our music festival here called The Big Day Out.

There's like 10 members including strings, brass and a hurdi gurdi player! And live: they pull it off! Insane!

Anyways they are probably worth a listen if you havent heard of em yet, and like music with an indie feel, or have an appreciation for orchestral rock. Click just ahead to watch their video: No Cars Go

I picked up one of their albums not too long ago, but to be honest, it did nothing for me. Maybe I'll have to give it another try.

Yeh they are definitely not for everyone. I mean, a fair few of their songs have heaps of atmosphere and interesting sounds and this kinda...Springsteen vibe, but others are way too indie for me...and I usually like a heavier-style band anyway

I like atmospheric stuff and all, but for some reason, the album didn't click with me. Might have been that I wasn't in the right frame of mind for it.

Yeh I can understand that hay. I have had the same thing happen with bands so I know what you mean.
