One day I plan on having a band *knock on wood*, but do you all think it's all right for me to go ahead and post song lyrics here that could possibly be recorded one day?

Also is anyone interested? *lol* I've never been big on posting my songs on internet boards because I usually just share them privately with certain friends.

Anyway, I think I'll take the plunge and post one later if anyone is interested.

I love reading people's stuff, so yes, I am definitely interested. And I suppose if you're going to record them some day and you're worried someone might steal them, you could always copyright them. That way they are protected.

Thanks Dogstar. Yeah, copyrighting is a good idea. I plan on possibly copyrighting a few (just the lyrics for now) soon. It's just it's 20 bucks a song, so I've been putting it off.

your lyrics you posted earlier were good! what instrument do you play? you could copyright the lyrics but obvioulsy you are not going to copyright everything you write. we all (at least i do) love reading other people's stuff even those that really suck! j/k Intellectual Property is a tricky issue though, because even if you take out the IP such as copyrights you have to be able to afford to defend your IP.

Say a large writing group such as The Matrix group for arguements sake steals your lyrics, can you afford to sue them over years and years? in any case at $20 if you have something you are proud of and want to protect, its a wise move.

Hey thanks. I play the guitar. Well, make that I'm in the process of learning to play the guitar. lol Boy, do I suck. I've always wanted to play, but finally decided it was time to pick up the guitar when I became a Bruce fan in '02. I saved up money and got a guitar in '03, and since then I've been using internet sites to teach myself. I haven't really been playing lately because I needed a guitar tuner bad. Now, I have one so there is no excuse from here on out.

Yeah, I can't afford to sue anyone. lol Fingers crossed that no one steals my lyrics.
