Steve Improtant Information For You Protect This Site And Everyone Who Has A Site
I Read This Here http://www.clickondetroit.com/technology/2...623/detail.html (My Local News Station)
Hacker Contest Targets Web Sites Sunday Small Prize Baffles Expert POSTED: 3:31 p.m. EDT July 2, 2003 UPDATED: 3:49 p.m. EDT July 2, 2003 Hackers are planning to attack thousands of Web sites Sunday in what technology experts say is a loosely coordinated "contest" that could disrupt Internet traffic. Organizers established a Web site that listed in broken English the rules for hackers wishing to enter the competition. An early warning network for the technology industry is advising Web site administrators to protect their sites. The New York Office of Cyber-Security warned that the goal of the hackers is to vandalize 6,000 Web sites in six hours. The site with the rules indicates that each participant can attack a maximum of 6,000 sites. It also says the winner will be whoever does the most if nobody reaches 6,000. "My hope is this being first of many defacers-challenge," it says. The purported "prize" for participating hackers is 500 megabytes of online storage space. That makes little sense to computer experts. They say hackers capable of breaking into thousands of computers could easily steal that amount of storage on corporate networks.
