Puddle of Mudd big? Umm, one hit wonder maybe, but not big in terms of Creed?

No way were Nickelback and Puddle of Mudd bigger. They came around AFTER Creed did. Really, without Creed, cross-over bands like Nickelback, Staind and Puddle of Mudd, among others, probably wouldn't have been as big as they were. Besides that, Creed had more hits than Nickelback and PoM had.
As for Coldplay being the bigger band, again I disagree. Coldplay didn't have as many album sales as Creed did during that time, and didn't have as many hits. They weren't as popular as Creed was during that time-span.

Oh,...BTW,...Creed was the biggest rock band those years.....Coldplay, I hate to tell you,...is POP.[/quote]
If I'm driving my car and Coldplay come on the radio, I just feel like crashing into a brick wall! I respect their talent but does Chris Martin always have to write such 'doomsday' lyrics/music. How can he be so miserable all the time. He's a successful artist who is living his dream, respected by the music community, making millions and shagging Gwyneth Paltr.....oh, now I know...it had to be something... Take Care

Coldplay isn't rock... they aren't pop... they are nonsense...
Creed isn't really rock either though.

Alternative? post grunge? Not saying they don't have elements of rock in them but they aren't rock n' roll in the definitive sense. Far closer to grunge.

grunge isn't as melodic as Creed if you think of PJ. It kind is if you think of PJ and SG though...
still, grunge is a sub-genre of rock imo.
