Beyblades...

I don't know about USA or any of those other far away from New Zealand countries, but do any of your children have an obsession or like these gay things called Beyblades?
They are off this programe called Beyblades, the programme in general is quite cool, but these little spinny top things that you buy are pathetic... And you pay 3.00 for ONE.
The main bit of the "TOY" is a circle bit of plastic, with 4 sharp pointy bits coming out of the sides of it which helps it to spin, with a sticker on the top of a character from the programme...tthe next part is a little bit of plastic with a hole in it, and you attach that to the main part of the toy, then put this long rod of plastic into it, yell
"3...2...1...LET IT RIP!!!"
And yank the rod out of the toy, the harder the yank the faster the spinny top will go....and basicly you get otehr people with other beyblades, and "BATTLE" with them....the first one that knocks the battler over is the winner.

BEWARE, if you do not have these in your country but the programme is, just beware that your children will soon be asking for one and they will take over all the otehr toys that your child has!

LOL i only know cauze my brother has like 10 of them

And they hurt if you step on them...

Both of my sons ages 11 and 7 love these things. They are $7 at the local Walmart here in Hershey, PA. The local Walmart had a little problem, though. There was a small store owner who came into the Walmart and bought literally hundreds of these Beyblades and then sold them at his own store for $30 a piece. This man did this at 3 local Walmarts. Now all the Walmarts have to keep the Beyblades and all accessories in the back at layaway and it can only be one Beyblade per person. I had to go to Amazon.com to find a total of 6 Beyblades, 3 for each of my sons, for Christmas. I also got them what they call a Deluxe Launcher. It's a Launcher for the BeyBlade and you can link them with another Deluxe launcher and Beyblade in video form... it has a really small viewing screen on it.

At the local elementary school it is a cult at recess. Boys and girls alike gather at the edge of the basketball court and Battle eachothers Beyblades, trade Beyblades and RipCords and other parts.

They even released a Beyblade video game for Playstation. I bought it for my sons as well.

It is indeed a cult... just like those dang Pokemon and Digimon collectors cards and those cute Beanie Babies. They are all lame if you ask me... but with every passing year there is a new fad... it will fade out sooner or later, and they will be just childhood memories.

Anyone remember Cabbage Patch dolls, Rubix Cubes, Garbage Pail Kids collectors cards/stickers, and Ataris? Can't ya tell I grew up in the 80's? lol 1974 WAS A VERY GOOD YEAR! LOL

lol i used to have a Cabbage Patch Doll when i was a baby.

lol you think that the man selling them to his own mall is bad, (lol yeah that is pretty bad) well before these things came out my brother would SELL ones that he MADE for goodness sake...they were just the top off a drinkbottle, and you put a pencil in the middle of the bottle top, so it went down into the bit where yiou drink from, and he wound a piece of long string at the top, held onto the pencil and riped the string off....now yes that is gay but for my brother that is quite an invention, lol.
