Those are both great movies. I closed my eyes at the end of Road to Perdition. I don't think he should have been killed at the end.
My husband bought me the box set of the Back to the Future movies last week. I love those movies.

He has to. I was quite surprised the first time I saw it; just watched it tonight, waiting, waiting, waiting for when the shot would ring out, then it does, and i still jumped. The silence is deafening. But, to me it makes sense why he has to die. All he wanted was for his older son, Michael, to not be like him (he says that at one point, which is why he was more distant from Michael); upon realizing that Michael is unable to kill Jude Law's character, he knows he's succeeded. He can die a happy man, so to speak (plus b/c he avenged his wife and other son's deaths and pretty much crippled the Irish mafia, esp. the Rooney family).

Bruce Almighty!
Bear.... Monty Python is AWESOME!!! The Holy Grail is great!! You also have to see Life of Bwian and The Meaning of Life... Yellowbeard is a little less IMO(with Marty Feldman) Do you know Fawlty Towers? That was a tv-series about a hotel starring John Cleese(One of the Monty Pythons) as the owner Basil Fawlty! Great serie too!! I'm so in love with the english humor... Rowan Atkinson(Mr. Bean, Black Adder) is quite amusing too! Although his latest film Johnny English was a very bad one IMO. He can do so much better than that!

At the end of last year, in my Senior Honors English 4 class (taught by a former college prof, mind you), we watched some of the Black Adder films, but didn't get to finish 'em b/c dang school year was too short. They were hilarious, though. PBS is a good source, here, for British humor. Usually on weeknights, they've got some older shows on the tele; there's also a Mr. Bean cartoon on sometimes, I find that pretty funny.
