Anyone heard of "pete"?
Hi All!
Just wondering if anyone here has heard of a band called "pete"? I saw them on HBO's Reverb show quite awhile ago with Staind. They played 3 songs, including "Sweet Daze" which was played on a radio station here. I went and bought their debut cd and all the songs on it are very good. If anyone is interested, their webite is: www.peteband.com There are samples of their music there and they have been described as a cross between Disturbed & Staind, but I think they have a unique sound of their own. I think they are from New Jersey. Anyway, just thought I'd put in a word for this band because they are definately worth listening to. Have a great day all! Rose |

pete. is a great band. They weren't around very long though - they did a short tour over the summer a few years back, then a small bar tour, and I haven't heard from them since. I was on their street team and met the band, who is very nice might I add. There were "hot" girls floating all over the singer and he took the time to diss them off to talk with me because he wanted to thank me as a street teamer! heh
the CD is awsome though. I recommend going to pick it up. I think I might make this the first in my "Recommended CDs" thing I'm going to start soon.

Hey Steve, Its cool you got to meet them, they are a great band and I love every song on the cd. Glad I'm not the only one here who has heard of them. I belong to their Yahoo Group, which doesn't get many posts, but when I joined recently, the moderator sent me an email and told me that pete. was still together and were starting to write new music, so hopefully we'll more from them in the near future. It's great you will be including this cd in your "Recommended cd's" list. Rose |

Hey Steve & whoever else is interested.
I just got this e-mail from Lars, who is the bass player for pete. Hello Brian & Rose, We've got a whole buncha new tunes recorded and ready to go. Best batch yet. And I mean that!!! We're aching to get back to the midwest. Sadly, because of 911 and the AOL/Time Warner stock plummet, the WB label indiscriminately let go of 60% of it's roster. That included us. So we're local right now and are building back to the national level! Come to the east coast!! We hope to be back in your area as soon as possible!! Keep checking the site, ya never know!!! Lars ******* I also got this message showing 2 tour dates, they aren't near me but maybe they are near you: May 2nd Live Acoustic Radio Show WPSC 88.7 FM Between 3-6 pm during The Four Horseman's metal show on the William Patterson College Radio Station The request e-mail is [email protected] May 3rd at "Acme Underground" 10pm located at 9 Great Jones Between Broadway and Lafayette, NYC 212-420-1934 official web site: www.peteband.com Here's a link to a fansite dedicated to keeping the newest band news and show info available as soon as it is out: <A HREF="http://hometown.aol.com/ferminipus/myhomepage/fan.html"> http://hometown.aol.com/ferminipus/myhomepage/fan.html</A> also check out: <A HREF="http://www.mylocalbands.com/band/p/pete.asp"> http://www.mylocalbands.com/band/p/pete.asp</A> Please forward this to anyone who's not on the mailing list and might be interested!! Just wanted to share this with any pete. fans here! Rose T. |
