Alter Bridge confirm Pinkpop-performance

In a interview with Dutch paper "Metro" Mark Tremonti confirmed that they will be playing on the Dutch rockfestival Pinkpop this year.

Pinkpop, the oldest annual European rockfestival will be held from friday 30 May to sunday 1 June at Megaland in Landgraaf in the deepest south of The Netherlands, very near the German border and about 10 miles from the Belgian border.

Tremonti also stated that he wanted to see his idols Metallica perform at Pinkpop and since Metallica are the headliners for friday 30 May, it is very probable, that this will also be the date that Alter Bridge will be performing. On saturday 31 May Foo Fighters will be headlining and on sunday 1 June Rage Against The Machine will be closing up the festival.

Other names who are either confirmed to perform at Pinkpop 2008 or are heavily rumoured are Editors, Kings of Leon, Moke, Anouk, Racoon, Beatsteaks, Queens of the Stone Age, Interpol & The Wombats.
