I know because I went to dominican republic, so I transfered my money to amercian, and got lucky because it was so cheap, but then when i retransfered my 200 american bucks, I got like 230 canadian

first off, the Federal Reserve has a little more control over the economy than Mr. Bush himself. most level-headed political science instructors I've had have acknowledged this very fact, so it's not something i'm just pulling out of my ass just to defend our president.
second, yes the American dollar has lost value in the past few years, but that does not necessarily mean the Canadian dollar, by itself, is getting stronger. the exchange rate you indicated only shows that, with regard to the American dollar, your Canadian dollar has gained value (how has it done against the Euro? I would guess that the progression of this exchange rate would seem to indicate that the Canadian dollar, too, just like the US dollar, is becoming weaker).
Also, our dollar is still stronger than yours, nonetheless. if you've got a problem with your economy weakening because ours does, then TELL YOUR GODDAMN COUNTRY TO STOP MOOCHING OFF OURS!
