Freedom Fighter

What do you think this song means??? I like to find song meanins and keep it to myself... but this is a song I couldn´t think much, coz the following segment confuses me:

If the truth will set you free
I feel sorry for your soul
Can’t you hear the ringing ‘cause
for you the bell tolls

What do you think Stapp was trying to say? coz obviously Creed won´t tell us...

My first thought on it was it was a response to 9/11, not sure if they wrote it after this date...

I hope you can show me new points of view...

Music interpretation is pretty subjective, but here's my two cents. I think he's lashing out at the band's many critics and those lines to me mean that when the truth about them comes out on judgment day, they will have to answer for their pride and their envious mouths.

Me, too. I think that it Rocks! "What if" is probably my favorite song of the 3 that lash out to closed-minded critics.

ME TOO!!!!! I LOVE that song! I play it all the time on my way to work:lol:

What if you did?
What if you lied?
What if I avenge?
WHAT IF EYE FOR AN EYE?

I love to see it live too, so much energy to it, plus it is the song I got his sweat on me :embarass:

LOL, it is awesome live, I totally know what you mean. I ROCK all the time to that one. DSD holds a special place in my heart to because that is when I made eye contact with him. Everytime I hear it, I think about it, I won't EVER forget that look. :P

Yeah, I think Freedom Fighter does lash out at the nay-sayers and those who just don't get Creed's message. And What If is a great one for that. I really like Say I, they both rocked live in Philly! Frantic, faction, focus... The world breathes and out forms this misconception we call...man. But I don't know him, no I don't know him, because he lies; THEY LIE!! Say I...

My stage is shared by many millions
Who lift their hands up high because they feel this
We are one
We are strong
The more you hold us down the more we press on...

You go Creed, Rock on, no matter what others say about you!!
We love you Let's give love to all!!

Sorry if my post sounded wierd. Just got home from work; tired and "punchy". One of those nights where I'm tired but my brain isn't tired enough to go to sleep.... ugh... But I do love and support Creed through all the bashing, so that's why I said that stuff....

Ditto. I love that song. It always gets me pumped up, especially the part about us all being one, strong and pressing on. I think of those lines when I'm struggling with something and just want to throw my hands up. It gives me a little extra something to push forward with whatever I need to do.

Wow, B-sides. How do you get B-sides? I'm dyin' to hear those songs!
As for "What If"...I think the same way, Dogstar. That song is so empowering. Plus, it's a damn good song to just rock out to.

I am thankful to a Great lady on here for the B-sides Cd! Anyways you can get them on several different Cd's like movie soundtracks, download them off Said Eyes thread, or other fan sites!

Redeemer, you also can download peer-to-peer software for free, which allows you to tap into others who share their files. I have a whole Creed CD of live stuff that I have downloaded. I have Kazaa Lite (no popup ads or anything) and winmx. I think Kazaa has a bigger user base so you might luck out with that one. It's really easy to use.

Yipes. I'm on a school computer, not my own. I don't think they'd like it very much if I just started downloading stuff on their computers.
