Not in the holiday mood this year!

I have to admit that the holidays don't really have me excited this year at all My parents didn't even call me on my birthday or Thanksgiving...Period,and that really pissed me off I have always taken the time out to call everyone on their birthdays and they couldn't even call me on mine :wtf I don't even really want to go home for Christmas at all,but my mom already bought my amtrack tickets When I go home at Christmas, I'm telling them that I want to move out of this house and get an apartment, and I know that they are gonna give me hell about it to because they are trying to sell some ofvthe land that we have with the house. So its gonna lead to a family feud and then no one is gonna talk to me after that URGHHHH!

I have to admit I'm not into the Christmas thing this year, either, which is unusual. I'm just finding the whole thing tedious and stressful and not as much fun as it usually is. The only thing I'm looking forward to is going home to visit my family in a couple of weeks.

Part of me just wants to rip up my train tickets and not even go home for Christmas

Julie, I'm sorry that you aren't having the greatest time right now. I know that it will cause arguments between you and your family, but if moving to an apartment is really what you want, then you have to tell them that, don't hold back because of what they will think. You deserve to be happy and if it's what you want, then you HAVE to tell them.

About the Christmas 'spirit' I'm not feeling really Christmasy this year either. I haven't been for the last 3 years. For me it's because the time just goes by so quickly, there really isn't much time to get into the spirit of Christmas, one minute it's months until the 25th, and the next it's already over! It sucks, and my birthday is on Christmas so it's not that great. But just take some time out, and listen to some Christmas carols

Ya,I know Hayley! I'm just so tired of staying here in this house just to keep my family happy. This house needs more work than I can handle by myself and they expect me to do everything I don't even know how the hell to fix a house

I think I'd rather slit my wrists then listen to Christmas music right now

sorry to hear that Julie
I'm getting sick of Christmas. This is my 4th Christmas working @ Target and, by far, the most hours I've worked in the season. It sucks balls. People are absolutely ridiculous. Absolutely no courtesy or common sense. You take something off the shelf? Put it back in its proper place. Doesn't seem that difficult a concept. I really think we need to get away from all this commercial bullshit that Christmas has become and remember what Christmas is all about (and, if you're not religious, that can still include spending time w/ family)

Julie, i know that feeling too. I think i am going to Spain for Chritsmas, but i am not very excited. Before Chritsmas The President ("The Big Boss") from my company is coming here next Tuesday...WTF is that???? Twice in a month????? I can`t work like that....they are bastards.....just care for the money and we are here working like whores....no way...or they pay me more or i am leaving....all this situation sucks....!!!!!!

I don´t feel happy at all this year.

Ah, Julie!!!Think about you...if you want to move...do it. From my experience, i can tell you, if you are thinking to make someone else happy they are never going to have appreciation for you. So be selfish and move out to a new flat. that`s maybe what you need to feel happier....cos lately i felt you very depressed.

I'm not really that into the season myself. With Don overseas, it's just not the same. But I have to try to make the best of it for the kids. Yesterday I put up Christmas lights outside and when they got home from school, they were so excited, it warmed my heart. I think they are pushing ME to get into the spirit of the season.

Wow! I thought I was the only one not excited about the holidays this year, lol. Thanksgiving was pretty much just another day for me No one from my family even bothered to call me! My birthday was alright cuz my brother came down from Michigan and surprised me,but no one else even called me that day either and I've pretty much been depressed ever since my birthday, even before that I want to move out of this house and do something for me,for once in my life!! I'm so tired of trying to please my family when they neglect me all the time The more I think about it,the more I just want to mail the train tickets back to mom and tell them that I'm not coming!

Ya know, that could be part of it for me, too. The weather has been very mild, not cold at all. I've barely broken out the winter coat. I haven't even had to wear gloves, and that's odd with it being December and all.
