friend or foe?

i have a question. how can someone so close to me. me best friend in the whole world. im talking we used to talk on the phone everyday. sleepovers galore! middle school was so much easier because i had my best friend with me and i knew i could tell her anything. how can that be all gone now? how can she turn on me , be best friends with someone else, and push me totally out of the picture? i mean. we are almost done with high school and then she turns on me. like im nothing. she yells at me for talking about her behind her back, and then she goes and pouts because she has problems. so what!!? everyone has freakin problems! get over it! move on! dont tell everyone you've been crying just to try and get some smypathy. please! grow up! i just dont understand how someone can be your friend and then a few days later you guys can't stand talking to each other.

I'm sorry that your friend is being that way That happened to me in highschool to, my so called best friend just quit talking to me. It hurt me at the time but now I could care less about her cuz I found out what she was really like Now I'm better off then she is! But, ya I know it hurts and makes ya angry, but once your out of highschool friends like that don't really matter, atleast not to me I have friends now that are more genuine and true friends to me than anyone of my highschool friends ever were.

Hmm, this is sort of like a situation that I have recently been in. My best friend of 3 years, suddenly started changing, and I didn't like the person she was becoming. I couldn't believe the way she was changing, starting to get drunk every weekend, smoking pot, wagging school, being bitchy to everyone. Her behaviour was shocking, and I thought that I didn't want to be around somenoe that acted like that, I wasn't going to let it rub off on me.

So one day I wrote her a letter telling her how I felt, that I didn't want to be her friend anymore. I knew that people can't change who they are, so I didn't back down. Obviously she didn't take it very well, as we had been the best of friends for the past 3 years. She threatened to beat me up, get me back, blah blah blah. But I ignored that all, now she is not my friend and I am glad because while I am back and watching it all, she is a bitch. I am better off now without her than I ever was with her.

This might be how your friend feels about you? I'm not taking sides or anything, and I know that it must be hard to deal with, but maybe you should try talking to her? And if she doesn't want too, if she really is sticking to her guns, maybe you should just let her go. These things happen, people change, and once they have, you can't really change them back.

i'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that she's prolly in the "foe" category. try talking to her, let her know how you're feeling about your now-strained relationship. if she tells you to, basically, fuck off, she's not worth having as a friend, let alone worrying about having as one. times change and people do too. who this person was in middle school is obviously not who she is now; high school is probably the most volatile period in a person's life, as many/most people undergo some degree of change in that period. so talk to her, maybe you'll have to "let her go", and if you do, find some new friends who better fit your needs and interests.

on a side note, correct me if i'm wrong, creedsis, i don't believe this is facelessman whom we have known for however long... i think it's his girlfriend, perhaps? again, correct me if i'm wrong. he's gonna be gone for a year or so

Wow, that's a long time....Uhhh, about your friend, I agree with BearFan, If she treats you like crap, then IMO, she's not worth it. I found out a few of my friends were doing drugs, and I just don't want to be around them anymore really. I still love them, but I sometimes feel kinda cheated, because when we hung out they seemed to be really good people, and they were really cool and smart, then all the sudden they just seemed to lose their mind, and did some really stupid stuff, that will probably effect them the rest of their lives.
During Christmas time I got a card from one of my other friends, and it was so cool, because some of her other 'friends' started to ingnore her, and in the card she wrote, "thanks for being a true friend" That really made my day, because I knew she meant it. You'll learn who's worth having as a friend or not.

That happened to me wayyyyyyy back, in grade school, then in high school, they wanted nothing to do with me, two faced beotches.. errrr!!! Oh well their losses, cuz I'm a nice person.....

yes this is girlfriend. but it's just best friend until he returns. my name is hannah. dan is going to be gone for 2 years. he leaves to go to africa today! i got a call from him just a few hours ago! he's the best!

I'm sorry to say that I've had many "friends" like that. There's really no way to explain why people change. Just remember, that if she is indeed a real friend, you'll be able to reconcile and forgive each other.
