Matisyahu anyone?
I don't know why... BUT I LOVE THIS GUY!!!! He's bringing Reggae back to the mainstream... and From what I hear he's got a really good Guitarist and an even better Message! He's Featured on 2 of P.O.D.'s songs from their latest album and he Sounds Great on those aswell!!
Anyone else really digging him? It's awesome to see him on MTV aslo... cuz it's great to see someone that accually has musical integrity on there now-a-days

I haven't really heard anything by him, but I'm not the biggest reggae fan, either.

Yeah, I'm not typically much of a reggae fan myself, but this Matisyahu guy sounds interesting. I've kinda gotten bored with my music collection lately(hard to believe, but it happens ), so I'm willing to check out just about any artist at this point. I think I'll give Matisyahu a few listens and see what I think.

Re: Matisyahu anyone?
^ Yup, he is. I actually took advantage of MTV's Hear It First thing(they've got Matisyahu's whole new album on there) and listened to it. I have to say, despite not being much of a reggae fan, I really liked it(especially the message). So much that I might buy the new album when it comes out Tuesday.

Re: Matisyahu anyone?
not only does he look Jewish, but he is Jewish. And his collaboration w/ P.O.D. on the 1st track from their latest album (album is Testify, track is Roots in Stereo) is pretty amazing. I understand that was supposed to be the lead single, but record label squabbling prevented it from being such.

Re: Matisyahu anyone?
Yeah... Roots In Stereo would have been a BAD-ASS 1st single... (my fav song on the album) but i can see why they picked Goodbye for now as the 1st single... it's probably the most Radio-Friendly song on the Disc...

Re: Matisyahu anyone?
Definition of Hisidic?
PS... Ok nm I just looked it up on Dictionary.com: A member of a Jewish mystic movement founded in the 18th century in eastern Europe by Baal Shem Tov that reacted against Talmudic learning and maintained that God's presence was in all of one's surroundings and that one should serve God in one's every deed and word.
