Re: Which has been the best decade for music?

50's - birth of rock music
60's - rock revolution
70's - rock is overtaken by disco, but punk rock kills disco
80's - new wave overshadows punk and rock becomes guys with big hair,make-up and mostly bland(there are some acceptions)
90's - rock has a big comeback in the form of Seattle grunge
2000- just feels alot like 90's as far as music is concerned(imo)

I would have to say the 50's and 60's would have to be the best for me. I have alot of respect for the pioneers that started it all. Where would anything be without the begining?

I agree completely. Could not have said it better, but I would add that the thirties blues works were amazing.

You're right, the very roots of rock are the blues.

I'm a fan of just about every decade.
