Yeah, um...the song is awesome, no doubt about it. But that video was lame.

yeahhhhhhhhh....... definitely a weird video. Marcos (Bridge of Clay) posted on ABRocks that the vid has some pornographic ties, so that might affect one's interpretation of the video. i think i can see what they were going for: the song is more or less about a hollow, empty life ("lift me up from my soul so hollow" is the line, i believe) and it seems to me that the guy that takes a number every day (presumably for banging the chick... at least that's my interpretation) has a very empty life. this seems particularly evident towards the end when he starts coming in and neither the dude nor the chick pays the other any attention. i guess it's an interesting concept for a great song, but i think such a concept could have been done much better. i also wanted to see more of Friedman rockin' out.

Oh man, I gotta watch the video. I've been hearing Hollow alot on my local Rock station, so that's a good sign.

I haven't seen the video, but njcreedite and I got a little Submersed news from Eric F. before the show last night in D.C. He said they were in NYC recently and finished up recording an acoustic version of Hollow that will be released to radio at some point, though he wasn't sure when.

I asked him if it would be released on a CD for purchase, but he said he wasn't sure what plans the label had for it other than it going to radio. He said he hoped that it could be put up on the web site at some point.
He said they got to fiddle with it creatively and that it includes cello and violins and that Donald took some liberties with the melody and such. He said they were very happy with how it turned out.

I can't wait to hear this!

That certainly sounds interesting. An acoustic version of Hollow would rock, I'm sure.

Yeah, he said they had full bass and drums and all, but the guitars are acoustic. It sounds really cool.

I really like the idea of an acoustic version of Hollow. And even i love the guys and the entire album, i think the video is kind of crappy and they deserve something better for the very first video. I really don't like the video at all, and i feel very sad say that, honestly.

I watched the video last night and while I'm not sure about the pornographic aspect of the whole production, I do agree it wasn't something that reached out and grabbed me. I love the song, but I think a lot more could've been done with the video.

As for an acoustic version of Hollow, I'd LOVE to grab a copy of that.
