"For God so loved the world that He gave his only son so that WHOSOEVER BELIEVES IN HIM(Jesus:God's son) WILL NOT PERISH BUT HAVE EVERLASTING LIFE." In other words, you will be saved. Hey, and about the prayer, i have asked God for alotta answers and certain people, he hasn't given them to me yet, but i know he will someday. "Ask and you shall receive..." Think of it as a birthday present for your, let's say, 21st bday. Or as a long awaited driver's license, etc. Is that more clear? If not, just ask and i will go into detail.

Um. Hi, I am a Christian too, I am also new. I am impressed by alot of the posts I have seen concerning belief here. I love the honesty.

I would also like to say that I understand the absurdity felt by some of U when people say that Jesus is the only Saviour. "I am the way, the truth and the life and no-one comes to the Father except through me"(spoken by Jesus in John 14:6), can seem just plain arrogant to the unbeliever. The only way this can be found as truth is through the Holy Spirit revieling it to you.

1 Corinthians 1:19 says that the things of God seem foolish without the Spirit. I hated Jesus till I got the revelation.

I also belive that when God says, "U shall seek me and find me when U seek me with all of your heart" (Jeremiah 29:13). He's not kiddin'. He's not a mere man that He should lie now! Ball's in your court...

Yeh I can understand what U R saying Strubes, totally. . I am the sort of Christian that emphasises the Fatherheart of God though, so I'm sorta comin from a different angle than you, but we are on the same side here.

I guess my main reason for posting that message was just to empathise with those that think the one saviour thing is absurd. Sorry if I confused anyone. I also need to explain that my replies may be left fielders in relation to what has been said, mainly cos I see something else in what is being said that needs to be addressed...and heres my left fielder for today :-)

My heart is that God is not impersonal, that he didnt just leave U a book and leave U alone, that he DOES hear what U say to Him, nice, or unkind, and that He deals with people PERSONALLY. U know Him, cos when He speaks, it aint just pretty words, it penetrates, and it's so real, and it's so just for you. It was the love of GOD that drew people to Jesus when He was on earth. Cos they had heard all the rules and regulations and finally they were hearing the truth. Jesus is THE Saviour, but most important for those that havent met Him yet, He is the love of God revealed!
